Hundreds of concerned parents, grandparents, and experts showed up to the hearing to voice their opposition to the gay sex education bill. But it was already proving to be a rigged process.
Inside sources said the Committee Chair, Rep. Janet Buckner pulled the signup sheet early to prevent people from testifying.
After this sleazy tactic, Rep. Susan Beckman and the people in the room requested further testimony be heard after Rep. Buckner attempted to deny their free speech on the legislation that would force their children to be taught about gay sex.
After the request, Rep. Buckner threw a hissy-fit, and gaveled Beckman down, denying even more Coloradans the right to be heard.
After limited testimony, an amendment was put forward that would change the bill from providing the option for parents to opt their children out of the gay sex education course, to requiring them to opt their children into the course.
This was voted down.
So now, if you don’t want your children to be taught this course, and they forget your signed slip to remove them, they will then be forced to learn the finer points of gay sex.
The left wants to undermine the teaching authority of parents to forcibly indoctrinate our children. They want kids and parents to jump through hoops to opt out, rather than opting in with the full consent of parents.
