Heroin injection site bill is dead

What began as a priority for Democrats in the newly controlled legislature, heroin injection sites pushed by Brittany Pettersen died before being introduced.

This is a true grassroots victory for Colorado and sets the tone for how Conservatives should react to ludicrous legislation that we know will hurt Colorado communities.

A number of people and groups played key roles in stopping injection sites, including House Minority Leader Patrick Neville, 710 KNUS hosts Peter Boyles, Chuck Bonniwell, Julie Hayden, Stephen Tubbs, Craig Silverman, Randy Corporon, 600 KCOL radio host Jimmy Lakey, nonprofit Advancing Colorado, and Pettersen’s opponent Tony Sanchez who called out injection sites before anyone else.

Most of all thank you to all of the activists who mobilized to stop this deadly legislation!

Brittany Pettersen announced she will not be introducing her legislation because it lost support in the Democratic Party – surely due to pressure from the activists’ uproar.

We can’t wait to see the grassroots response from conservatives to dangerous legislation like the “red flag” gun confiscation bill.

For anyone who wants to get involved with stopping gun confiscation, the hearing will be tomorrow at the Old State Library at 1:30pm.
