Protests to Reopen Businesses, Economy Begin at 1:00 P.M. Sunday

Denver, CO – Protests to open businesses and the economy begin a 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Expect a lot of people to show up in Denver.

If you saw coverage of the protests in other states, such as Michigan, they might pale in comparison to the protests in Colorado.

Multiple Facebook groups calling to reopen Colorado’s economy have popped up in the last week. They have grown by the thousands in just days.

Operation Gridlock Denver” has nearly 550 people registered, with over 2,400 interested.

Another protest is scheduled to begin right after the gridlock protest. We covered it the other day, and encourage you to attend one of these protests.

The Polis administration is feeling the pressure, and a large public demonstration (which Polis just attempted to ban) may force the government to ease restrictions and reopen the economy.

Why protest?

The Colorado Department of Labor & Employment is reporting unemployment filings have exceeded 231,000.

People are out of work. They cannot pay their rent, and many are or will soon struggle to put food on their table.

Coloradans are fed up. You can feel the buzz in the air when you go out to support one of the few businesses that remain open.

Public opinion is shifting rapidly as Governor Jared Polis’ administration threatens to extend “Stay at Home” and shutdown orders due to a lack of testing capacity.

The people understand there must be a balance between social distancing measures and maintaining the economy.

However, Polis and the MSM seem content to watch the economy crumble while they flex their power over ordinary working citizens.

  1. For what it is worth, not too long ago, Coloradans had the opportunity to recall this governor. I would bet that there are quite a few now, that wish they had signed that petition.

  2. Email King Polis at his website. The contact page was not working but appears to be up again. He needs to hear from We The People every day. Does not need to be a long message. Something along the lines of “YOUR legacy as a governor will be to have been the worst governor ever elected in Colorado history.” Then remind him of any of the following: how many people are out of wor/ cannot pay bills, losing their small businesses, not being able to worship, hospitals laying off staff, people in pain not getting elective surgeries, parents being forced to be full time teachers as online learning still requires parental involvement, seniors not able to hug their loved ones, recovering addicts not able to meet, and the number of suicides that he will be responsible for because of his panic/hysteria over a virus that never materialized like he said it would.

  3. We need this in VIRGINIA also. Where are our protesters against this radical moron closing everything in sight. I sincerely do hope we can do two things here in VA. #1. Get our citizens back to work.
#2. Recall this unconstitutional governor. We don’t need this sort of government. I hope we never see the likes of him or his administration again. Same goes for our senator in congress. They need to go.
Oh yeah, I hear lots of remarks from people on sites like this one that say they got what they voted for. Well get this, I don’t vote for dimwits and I hope they can now see the likes of what they voted for but I really do believe the reason we have a dimwit is because you can’t fix stupid.

  4. I say Colorado small business owners need to open now with or without the ok from Polis. We the people need then to turn out and support them. What have they got to lose, their business, sounds like they are already losing them.

  5. no one seems to be challenging him, “nero” in court as what he is doing is un constitutional. “We the people know what we must do, we are not stupid as the state cabal and the media what you to believe. It is time to get the economy going again, time for small business and bigger businesses to have an opportunity to salvage their lively hood, time for people to show their self worth earn income, survive. I would think that government would want people, and businesses to start again paying taxes, lest they start whining about a short fall and demand a tax increase, you know that is coming, and once they get the public to acquiesce to an increase they got you where they have been trying to get you, do not capitulate

  6. We had enough sugnatures by number. What we did not realize was that a number of Polis says and sabatours were working under cover to make sure that a number of the signatures did not meet proper criteria and were thrown out. Next time -which I hope will be soon, trust me that will not happen.

  7. As a nurse taking care of these patients, calling their families to let them know that in the span of 4 hours they have gone from breathing on room air to being intubated in the ICU, or tell a patient while they were fighting for their lives in the ICU, their husband and CHILD lost their own battles w vivid, let me tell you, this is horrifying to read. This disease is overwhelming our system. We will run out of supplies if there is another surge of cases, and do not let anyone tell you this is false until they work one day at a hospital. The staff will be unprotected. This disease is ruthlessly hurting the lower/working class, I have multiple supermarket workers admitted right now, and we’re JUST starting to see progress in our numbers. The actions of these protesters has the potential to single handedly set that back if there’s even one positive person there. I hope they remember that, should these numbers change. Or if they’re forced to see even an ounce of the impact in their lives that I’ve seen in my patients.

  8. I think we need to reopen as soon as possible but I don’t think a lot of protestors understand the balance between social distancing and protesting. Why not protest safely?
