Denver, CO – Yesterday, we asked our readers if they supported the so-called “Safe” Storage bill that was introduced in the legislature before the break for COVID-19.

HB20-1355 criminalizes law-abiding gun owners for keeping firearms out of reach in their homes for self-defense.

We expect it to pass when the legislature resumes the 2020 session.

Question 1: Do you oppose criminalizing law-abiding gun owners who do not lock up their firearms for reasons such as home defense?

Results: YES (118) – NO (9)

What do you think of the so-called “Safe” Storage bill?

  1. those that want the so called safe storage are ensuring that law abiding citizens are hampered in their ability to defend them self when the situation arises quickly, when seconds count in your life or death. The time it takes to unlock a safe, lock box, a cable is enough time for a criminal to over take you, then force you to hand over your weapon. There is a very simple drill to prove this for any one who wants the safe storage, how fast they would be over taken, but in reality the liberals do not care if you are hurt or murdered, they only want to control you, disarm you plain and simple

  2. I believe the Supreme Court has already ruled that this is unconstitutional. I guess our local State Government doesn’t care about that or the Constitution. They are just making us totally unable to defend ourselves. We are turning into a Nazi state, unfortunately.
