We are going to call this short article the Friday Funnies. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (or AOC as pop-culture AKA most “journalists” call her) is defending fellow socialist and presidential candidate Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Warren as a consulting attorney at Harvard Law School would charge the hefty tag of $675 an hour for her services. This could be seen as on the high-side for legal costs.
AOC snarkily responded to a report detailing the price gouging profiteering by Warren by tweeting: “BREAKING NEWS: Lady Had A Job, Got Paid More Than Me.” AOC, who is a former waitress, most likely did make less than Warren (big surprise).
So making money and the idea of charging what the market bears is ok when it’s one of their own. Yeah, this is pretty hypocritical. Remember Bernie Sanders was pretty cavalier about him becoming a millionaire as well.
Sadly, too many people don’t see past this malarkey and still elect these people.
That’s this Friday Funny – that really wasn’t that funny. In fact, it makes us shake our heads.
