Student indoctrination a fitting end to the session

A top priority for Democrats this legislative session is the indoctrination of our school children.

With only a few days left, Democrats are turning their focus back to passing two student indoctrination laws. A fitting end to a session that began with debate over this very topic.

The first, HB19-1032, is an attempt to take away parental rights to educate their children about sexuality. The bill is currently on second reading in the Senate.

Earlier in the session, parents flooded committee meetings in opposition because they feel it undermines their parental rights.

Parents argued it is their right, not the state’s, to teach their children how to view sexuality and healthy relationships. These parents are correct.

Unfortunately, Democrats in control of the state believe they know exactly how our children should act and think.

Also on second reading in the Senate is Representative Lisa Cutter‘s (D-Jefferson) and Senator Brittany Pettersen‘s (D-Jefferson) “media literacy” legislation.

Another poorly veiled attempt to tell our children how to think.

The bill creates a committee to identify what news sources and information are best for our students.

Instead of teaching our children how to be discerning, critical thinkers, Democrats are attempting to lay the foundation to tell our children what and how to think.

Maybe the oppressive lawmakers at the Capitol could benefit from a little critical thinking of their own. Specifically, what actions have they taken this legislative session to warrant a recall?
