In a tweet last week, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY, 14th District) implies calling people “communist” is racist. In another recent political stunt, AOC made outrageous statements about a Border Patrol detention facility without evidence to back up the claim.
The tweet, linked below, is just another attempt at playing the race card to win political favor.
For the record, the “long + rich history” of white supremacy was fought for tooth and nail by the Democratic Party before (and after) the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Democrats (and one Republican) launched an 83-day filibuster of the act when it reached the Senate. The filibuster only ended when a weaker version of the bill was offered up by, you guessed it, Democrats.
Now, the two main political parties of the United States have changed dramatically since 1964. Democrats are rushing as far to the left as possible. Remember the newly elected (communist) Denver City Council member?
Plus, we’ve written about Joe Biden’s brush with racism, usually closely associated with white supremacy. We also called out the Dems on claims about who is better on civil rights. Then, of course, there is the story out of Harvard, about how the libs ousted a prominent African-American liberal law professor. Who has the bad record on white-supremacy/racism, again?
But, back to the point. The American culture changed as well. Seriously, who does not support equal civil and economic rights? We certainly do.
What we do not support, is socialism, or even worse, communism. For the record, socialist and communist countries regularly touted equal rights as a propaganda tool. History shows us they did not deliver on that promise.
An Endorsement of Communism?
AOC’s bait and switch might as well be an endorsement of communism. The self-described “Democratic Socialist” wants to increase government control of nearly everything. She wants the government to control healthcare, transportation, and energy production.
Why? Because, as a well-educated bartender, AOC knows what is best for you and your family.
AOC’s policies and rhetoric will destroy and divide America. She is not the progressive catalyst she claims to be, but a rude, socialist politician who wants to undermine the Constitution and our individual liberties.
If making people who call her what she is (an ideological threat to America) out to be racists helps her, she will keep lying.
