It’s not surprising that Boulder, a city known for a newspaper that advocates murdering oil workers, will do anything in the name of “green energy.”

For that very reason, for half a decade, Boulder has been doing everything it can to try to seize Xcel Energy. After two attempts to low-ball Xcel, the city is now poised to take a play out of the Venezuela book, threatening to condemn and seize Xcel with eminent domain.

In what is certain be a drawn-out legal battle, it is a lose-lose situation for the people of Boulder who will undoubtedly be left footing the bill regardless of whether the city succeeds.

According to Xcel spokeswoman Michelle Aguayo, Boulder is attempting to rush the process forward:

“We believe the CPUC was clear in the actions that must be taken by the city of Boulder to proceed to condemnation and those actions have not been fulfilled,” Xcel spokeswoman Michelle Aguayo said previously in a written statement.

Oh, and here is another quote…

“Based on the Boulder District Court’s decision the Colorado Public Utilities Commission laid out the steps necessary to ensure that customers and other stakeholders are protected during this process,” Aguayo said. “To this date, that hasn’t been completed. Boulder’s decision to move forward is premature and may only cause delays.”

If you live in Boulder, there is some good news. The final vote will ultimately be left up to voters.

The bad news? You have absolutely no say in the wasteful court proceedings in which the city is currently engaged.

  1. I suppose Xcel could just start experiencing power outages at the government office complex’s and experience a tremendous number of unforeseen issues that were ‘probably’ human caused by ECO-TERRORISTS to further their own agenda.

Be a shame really if the outages spread randomly into neighborhoods, shopping malls and courthouses.

Why SCHOOLS may even have to be shut down due to the acts of RADICALS sabotaging Excel sites and equipment by advanced technology terrorism….

HEAVENS!!! The college may even be a target!!!

    1. The people of Boulder voted the powers that be into office so they better stay put and get the reward they are so al deserving of, otherwise they will go somewhere else and just repeat the process.
