Colorado Democrats want liberal California to run the country.
This is another trick to try to manipulate our political system in their favor, and undermine our system of checks and balances. Just because they’re frustrated that only Republicans have won an election without winning the popular vote a whopping 4 times in 220+ years.
Democrats know it’s easy to manipulate votes in their favor. They know they have the platform to win the young vote, because they’re much less educated when it comes to politics and the political system. That’s why in some states, Progressive Democrats are trying to lower the voting age to 16. Dems are loose on immigration because they know they have the Hispanic vote.
Since Colorado switched the voting process to mail ballots, Democrats have clearly benefited from this shift. Now they want to do it on a national level.
A National popular vote would be decided by Los Angeles and New York. Do you think citizens from those cities know what’s best for Colorado or other Midwestern, rural, states?
At every opportunity, Democrats us the term “Democracy” to try to pander a perverted perception of our country’s founding ideals. They want you to think we’re a Democracy.
What Democrats don’t want their young audience to know, is that we’re a Republic. Yeah yeah yeah… it’s a type of Democracy, I get it. But a Republic protects the rights of the minority, rather than the minority having to be subordinate to the majority – the core motivation of a system of checks and balances.
Our country was founded on the ideals of individual liberty, and all rights should be protected. But Democrats want to tell people what they can and can’t do. So if they peddle propaganda that we’re a Democracy, they can convince people everything should be decided by the majority. And by manipulating the system to get more votes, then they’ll have all the control.
