Don’t forgive Jared Polis for one policy stance

Let’s try not to confuse libertarianism with socialism.

A recent article by The Economist labels Jared Polis as not a typical Democrat, but “libertarian.”

Huh?

I guess now we just want to throw any political or philosophical label around any policy to make it not sound so… socialist I guess.

“Mr. Polis, the first openly gay man to be elected as governor of any state, championed a progressive agenda on the campaign trail, but he does not sound like your average Democrat. He backs universal health care, an expansion of full-day kindergarten, paid parental leave and investments in renewable energy. But he also wants to lower the income-tax rate. He identifies as a libertarian. ‘The less government intervention in our private lives, the better. I think that’s a value many Coloradans have on the left and right,’ he says.”

After stating Polis doesn’t sound like your average Democrat, they then list his support for; universal health care, an expansion of full-day kindergarten, paid parental leave, and investments in renewable energy.

Well those are all pretty progressive ideas with the heart of the policy being centered on government control over all of it.

Let’s help the article out a bit and add in that Polis supports increased gun control laws like the Red Flag bill recently passed by the legislature, mandatory gay sex education, and undermining the Electoral College.

But wait, he also wants to lower the income tax-rate. Wow, I guess we had him all wrong. Our apologies Governor. Maybe you should consider changing parties after that opinion – not that it’s a stretch considering some people in the Republican Party.

Honestly, wanting to lower it means nothing. A libertarian principle would be to abolish the income-tax altogether, and Polis does not support that.

Polis is then quoted by saying, “the less government intervention in our private lives, the better. I think that’s a value many Coloradans have on the left and right.”

We disagree with the last part of that statement. If you have paid any attention to the Democrat majority legislature this session, then it’s easy to see Democrats are quite focused on giving the government more control over our lives, and more money to spend.

Well that’s all the article has to say about his policies and philosophy. It goes on to double down on his want to lower the income-tax but that the legislature never would.

It then talks about his business and financial background and his political history.

So according to The Economist, despite all of his super progressive policies on giving the government more money and power over you, and further stripping you of your liberties, wanting to lower the income-tax makes you a pretty darn good libertarian…

Post article rant on political labeling

An article like this is dangerous fake news because it completely misleads readers by trying to mitigate the dangers of policies and philosophies.

The article title is “Jared Polis, Colorado’s governor, is an unusual breed: a libertarian Democrat.”

How many lazy readers will take this at face value, and start to warm up to someone like Jared Polis because some article said something that puts him in a different political light?

Here’s an easy example. It’s not Socialism, it’s Democratic Socialism. Wow, that makes me feel better.

The media will try to hide behind misrepresented labels in an attempt to make someone look less bad.

The “Green New Deal” would tax people up to 70%. Do you know who doesn’t agree with that? Nancy Pelosi. Does that mean we should start celebrating Nancy as a libertarian who wants to keep income-taxes low? Of course not.

So why should we let Polis get away with all his progressive policies just because he believes in something a little more conservative?

We shouldn’t, so don’t.

  1. Is CAIR running the country now or just Colorado?

A quick viewing of this lengthy video will show you that the Jewish banker Rothchild is also Islam (because both are the virtually the same and you would know this but the Kool Aid is just that good) and you will see those horns and crescent in Rothchilds seal in this video and those loans you have are from Rothchild so again I ask………………………………………….see above.
Trace the origins of communism to see it comes from the same place capitalism comes from and is used to manipulate societies by the hand of Rothchild.
    Is Polis Jewish? Uh huh
Is he on record favoring Islam? Uh huh.
Is ISIS the USA and Israel? Uh huh.
Is the Kool Aid wearing off yet? No, okay then watch this video and be woke.
