Well you could be missing out on some valuable insight and expertise.
Because according to Student Voice, a group advocating for lowing the voting age to 16 for school board elections, believes the age group most famous for eating tide pods on a dare are savvy enough in education policy to be able to vote.
A bill put forth by Sen. Dominick Moreno, and Rep. James Coleman, would do exactly that – allow 16 and 17-year-olds to vote in elections for school board, State Board of Education, and in elections to increase school district taxes or to issue debt for construction.
HB19-1243 is scheduled for a hearing tomorrow.
This is a slippery slope tactic. Democrats make it no secret they want to lower the voting age to 16.
It’s been an easier sell with the astroturf advocacy efforts funded by Michael Bloomberg with Parkland students advocating for gun control. Because we all know kids could coordinate and fund their marches and media coverage through grassroots fundraising…
The uneducated youth spew the same agenda that the uneducated Democrats push. The Stalinist tactic leads Democrats to say, “See, kids get it, and we love our children. They should be able to have a say and vote too.”
No, they shouldn’t.
Most of us remember what we were like at that age. Did you understand the complexities of public policy and politics enough to make an informed decision?
I think we all agree there are people that shouldn’t be voting anyway, why would we want to increase the amount of ignorant voters?
Advocates say it’s not just about them being involved in issues that directly affect them, but to get them in the habit of voting.
That is the Democrat education model after all: indoctrinate them while their young to keep them on their side.

Shouldn’t they also drop the age to 16 if you want to enlist in the military? After all, the voting age was originally lowered to 18 due to the forced conscription of 18-year-olds to our armed forces during an unpopular war.
Democrats are motivated by votes. That’s why they constantly defeat amendments in the legislature that would protect against illegal immigrants voting in our elections.
This will be an easy way for Democrats to tamper in elections. Not only will liberal teachers and teacher unions be able to feed them one-sided information to indoctrinate kids to the left, but now they would be able to tell kids exactly how to vote.
Not only do we think kids shouldn’t be able to vote, but not even every adult is informed enough to vote. Unless you are a responsible adult and contribute to society, you shouldn’t have the “right” to vote.
Why should you be able to vote if you have a conflict of interest where you receive aid from the state?
We can use voting as an incentive. If you contribute to society, you get to have a say in society.
We need a legislator to step up to the plate and advocate for voting eligibility that comes down to paying a net amount to the government. If you pay more to the state than you receive from it, you get to have a say in how your tax dollars are spent.
Oh that’s nothing. Next month my Lizard and dead uncle are going to be legal voters.
If those kids are so responsible then fire up the draft and send them off to be Marines where they can learn some patriotism. Minimum 4 year tour. Teach em guns, GOD and hard work are good for the soul.
