Denver, CO – Denver Mayor Michael Hancock says a mask mandate is coming to Denver, and he will announce details in the coming days.

This is after Hancock acted to extend the “Stay at Home” order for Denver until May 8, 2020.

The mask mandate will likely stay in place long after the “Stay at Home” order is “lifted.”

Poll: Do you oppose the government requiring citizens to wear masks when they are in public?

It is unclear how Denver plans to enforce this mandate. However, we would not rule out arrests and fines for repeat offenders. Whether or not the order is even legal also remains to be seen.

Like Governor Jared Polis, Hancock believes he now has total control over Denverites.

Mandatory mask orders will not help to reopen the economy. If anything, it will encourage people to stay home.

Seeing crowds of people in masks is intimidating. On top of that, it is an excuse for criminals to hide their identities in a time with increased crime.

Many people responding on Twitter opposed the announcement by Hancock. They called the order authoritarian, and many refused to comply.

Will you comply?

  1. This isn’t about health any longer (if it ever was) it’s all about controlling things to see just how far they can push the “sheeple.” Start pushing back or it’ll never end and our rights will be down the toilet faster than you can imagine.

    1. You are 100% right and fortunately I don’t live in Denver but I don’t/will NOT ever where a mask! People need to stand up to all of this BS now and businesses just in to band together and open fully all at once!

  2. Kaiser Permanent told me I am not allowed in the building, unless I submit to their newly found authority and wear masks all the time while in the business, have temperature taken every time, and be asked a series of questions about my personal life and travel habits. I asked when these discriminatory restrictions will be lifted, and they instead subtly patronized me, claiming that it’s company policy and they don’t make the rules they just follow them. Claiming it is not discrimination because it’s happening to everyone, not just me. I said I’m not afraid of wearing a mask, I’m fearful of everything that comes after that if we no longer have independent medical decision making autonomy.

These are impossible choices under untenable terms. No wonder people would rather be unemployed. I had not understood the severity of this until it happened to me, and I am only dealing with short medical visits, or specifically dealing with the lack there of as I am denied service. I can not imagine being subjected to this kind of treatment on a daily basis to simply retain employment.

Whom can citizens turn to for help? It is as Russel Means claimed and warned us about years ago; “Welcome to the Reservation”.
