Scorecards: Democrats & Republicans Shifted Left – How Did Your Legislators Score?

A good gauge for what your legislator is ACTUALLY doing for freedom and liberty at the State Capitol…

Denver, Colo – The Republican Liberty Caucus Scorecard is out for those who like liberty, but we must warn you, it doesn’t look good.

Generally, scorecards are either lauded or reviled, depending on an elected official’s score. That being said, they are a good snapshot to see what your legislator is up to at the State Capitol vs. whatever rhetoric (BS) they’re feeding you when politicians are trying to get (re)elected.

Republican Liberty Caucus Scorecard

First, let’s go over some of the positives. The usual suspects were at the top of the Liberty Caucus Scorecard. Minority Leader Patrick Neville proved why he leads the caucus, scoring highest in the House. So when you hear the, “I had to vote horribly because I’m in leadership” excuse, that is just another lying politician.

Reps. Steve Humphrey and Lori Saine, another member of leadership, rounded out the top three in the House.

In the Senate, Minority Caucus Chair Vicki Marble (remember what we said about leadership and excuses), scored the highest. Unfortunately, she was the only one worth mentioning. The Senate was incredibly bad this year.

The Democrats in the legislature all received an “F” on the Liberty Scorecard, as you would expect. But that’s not the story, the story is the amount of Republicans that earned, and we emphasize “EARNED” an “F” grade.

So if these legislators are telling you they’re “conservative” or “fighting the liberals” at the Capitol, call them out on their BS. This is what makes us mad. Considering all the different sessions the liberals ran wild at the legislature, this was THE year to take a stand and show some leadership.

In the House, several Republicans showed gumption and leadership by consistently voting for liberty and freedom. Marble was the strong vote in the Senate, but far too many Republicans failed to stand on principle. We can only hope this will change in the upcoming legislative session.

For those of us who keep track of the Colorado Legislature, there aren’t too many surprises on these lists. However, we were expecting better from Republicans.

We recommend reading these rankings and the bills they rated. Please post your opinions.
