Walmart Bows To Pressure

These companies have caved to political pressure…

United States The left seems to have a monopoly on getting businesses to bow to pressure, and Walmart is one of the largest casualties yet.

Last Spring, we did see a major retailer cave to the gun control lobby when Dick’s Sporting Goods stopped selling guns and ammunition. They limited the scope of a complete ban by only ceasing sales at their underperforming stores.

The other major retailer that stopped gun and ammunition sales is Fred Meyer, whose parent company is Kroger. Kroger also owns King Soopers locally here in Colorado. King Soopers has also asked customers to stop legally carrying in its stores.

However, the main purpose of this article is the surprise that Walmart will stop all handgun and “assault” rifle ammunition sales. Why is this news? Well, Walmart accounts for about 20% of the nation’s ammunition sales according to the article.

Walmart’s market-share comes as no surprise to many because most of us have purchased ammunition at Walmart at some point.

Our fear is this will have a domino effect on the rest of the market. Walmart has always been perceived as a conservative-leaning business. Its founder, Sam Walton, was a top Republican donor during his lifetime. Obviously, his kids and shareholders no longer share his vision for a free America.

The real question is, who or what is next for the assault on our liberties and freedoms? It’s a common attempt to try to take away our rights legislatively. But, the newest problem is the threat of a de-facto ban on our rights based on not being able to purchase items that help protect our freedoms.

This is scary, especially when combined with Republican support of Red Flag laws (click HERE and HERE). Our rights are seriously in jeopardy folks.
