Buentello & McLachlan voted to fund Gov’s private plane over fixing roads

Diving deeper into a previous article on how Democrats double-downed on their radical agenda with amendment votes on the budget, we want to show more on the hypocritical side of their votes.

We highlighted how Democrats voted against funding school safety because of their slanted fear of School Resource Officers, and then they showed they would rather fund Planned Parenthood to kill babies before they have the chance to attend unsafe schools.

Now we want to highlight their hypocrisy for their desire to keep more of your money for transportation funding, rather than cutting back on the Governor’s luxurious private plane.

You don’t have to travel far in Colorado to see and feel the crumbling infrastructure. Even the Democrats have cried about more funding for it. And now they want to get rid of TABOR to keep more of your money to pay for it.

Republicans gave Democrats the opportunity to put their (actually your) money where their mouth is, and they chose to run away.

An amendment offered by Reps. Van Winkle and Williams would have taken $769,000 from the Governor’s plane, and put it into the Department of Transportation for construction and maintenance of roads.

Democrats like Bri Buentello and Barbara McLachlan decided they would rather take more of your money than from the Governor’s luxury perks.

The amendment failed 38-26.

Bri Buentello on her campaign website even expresses how she wants to fix highway 50 in her district, but decided to do a bait-and-switch on her own constituents and voted against the amendment.

If you look closely at the vote, even some of the most liberal of the Democrats voted in favor of the amendment. So that says a lot about the Democrats who voted against it.

This just shows Democrats like Buentello and McLachlan only want to take more of your money and make sure their fellow Democrats can live the life of luxury.

  1. If I had a luxury plane I wouldn’t need roads either. They should just tear out all that asphalt and go back to dirt. Start on Broadway.

  2. Demencrats are grinding us into a world of poverty and corruption beyond belief. The governor is an idiot and his lackies are sheep following into the money spent on spiral into hell
